The tooling contained in the case is used to "pressurize" the refrigeration and air conditioning systems in order to "simulate", inside the systems, at which pressure it will have to operate.

By pressurizing the installation with technical hydrogenated nitrogen (at an appropriate pressure and therefore different depending on the refrigerants as indicated by the visible sectors on the manometer), the installer will have the certainty, in the event of leakage due to improperly made clampings, "cold" welds or manufacturing faults, that these faults will be indicated by a loss of nitrogen detected by the manometer provided for this purpose. The controlled installation will no longer encounter this type of problem.
